This is a piece based off the mythology Quetzalcoatl or also known as the Feathered Serpent. This is a mythology from Aztec belief. It is a being that is both skyward but also ground bound. as the top of the snake is lifted by the wings but the belling of the snake remains earthly. Due to this the Quetzalcoatl is a dual being. I wanted to draw this creature as a baby to signify that we have to grow into greatness and we have to work at it.
